Filip Noubel specializes in Chinese domestic politics, society, and Cross-Strait relations, drawing on over 30 years of research and on-the-ground experience. He has lived and worked across Central and Eastern Europe, Central Asia, the South Caucasus, the Himalayan region, East Asia, and Taiwan. His work explores themes of identity, historical memory, minority communities, arts, culture, language, and cross-regional connections. Filip serves as Editor at Large for Central Asia at Asymptote Journal and co-hosts The Vernacularists, a podcast delving into language diversity and power dynamics.
