Freedom fighter with over 15 years of experience in journalism, media management, research, and advocacy. For the past seven years, she led the Europe Center of the IREX SAFE Initiative and served as Country Director for IREX Georgia until the closure of the Tbilisi office. Nino collaborates with various initiatives and global stakeholders to foster solidarity among journalists and civil society, working toward a safer media environment in Georgia and across Eurasia. 

Earlier in her career, at Transparency International — Georgia, she managed media programs focused on research and advocacy for civil society and media freedom. Nino is an alumna of several international leadership programs, including the Leadership Academy for Development at Stanford. She holds a master’s degree in journalism and media management and has taught Freedom of Expression Theory and History for over ten years.
